Principal Engineering Program Manager - Enterprise Information Services - location within the Providence footprint of states (WA, OR, CA, AK, MT, NM, TX) *hybrid

Principal Engineering Program Manager: The Principal Engineering Program Manager will work with their Engineering counterparts to define and design solutions and services that delight caregivers and add value to Providence. The scope of this role is both broad (across a business unit) and deep (in terms of technical, process and continuous improvement required to develop and build enterprise wide IS services). Their responsibilities span the life of the solution or service and include collaboration with Engineering and business stakeholders, engaging with caregivers, working with Engineering to define the solution or service, managing the release, establishing the solution/service's identity in the ecosystem, and connecting with and supporting the caregiver community.

  • Responsible for driving our tech-enabled solution to generate optimized caregiver schedules which is a key initiative for the ISO portfolio and aligns with and supports Providence's strategic goals.

  • Exceptional decision-making and prioritization skills, conflict resolution, community building, and follow through.

  • Ability to help define hypothesis, requirements, metrics, and application with both business and technical partners.

  • Ability to study systems and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques.

  • Establish and improve adoption of our frameworks, tools, and best practices cross functionally inclusive of documenting our processes and governance model.

  • Responsible for several expanding deliverables which include supporting the vision and direction of our capabilities across all disciplines.

  • Manage intake and collaborate directly with our various business partners and be responsible for successful requirements gathering.

  • Manage the accuracy of deliverables and results with clear, concise communication to all stakeholders.

  • Responsible for supporting the growth of our platform by helping to define and prioritize our business capabilities.

This is a critical role and as we continue to expand; this role will grow in importance and your duties will increase.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent education/experience.

  • 8 years related experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with custom build applications using Microsoft Azure

  • Experience building AI/ML model based and cloud-based applications.

  • 8-12 years related experience in a program management role

  • Enterprise level experience

  • Expert level knowledge of Agile methodology

  • Can be within the states with Providence presence and with ability to travel (less than 5%)

Salary Range by location: *hourly listed – position is salaried.
