Providence Health & Services Senior Engineering Program Manager in Redmond, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Engineering Program Manager to our locations in Puget Sound, Portland, NoCal or Orange/LA area in SoCal.
Are you excited about the prospect of delivering a modern healthcare experience? Are you looking for a role where you’re in the driver’s seat leading a number of complex, high-visibility projects using your experience as a seasoned infrastructure program manager? Providence Cloud Engineering & Operations (CEO) is looking for Program Managers to join our growing team. If you thrive in bold, ambitious environments where you own projects E2E (read: no micro-management), enjoy ambiguity and proactively managing complex challenges, and have a background in IT hosting (compute, virtualization, storage, patching, etc), we’d love to talk!
Cloud Engineering & Operations is responsible for hosting 25,000 servers. As we continue to modernize our environment, we’re leaving programs to ensure we are on the latest operating systems and SQL databases, lifecycling out end-of-life compute and storage hardware, driving a number of security-focused initiatives within Qualys and Patch Management, and optimizing our physical hosting locations. These projects help to feed priorities out to our application stakeholders and into our Azure migration team. In this role, you will be responsible for representing your work up to our executive leadership in weekly/monthly reviews and communications, engaging application leaders to drive work forward, facilitating execution of work between our operations teams, delivering automation requirements to modernize hosting services, unblocking issues with project delivery, leveraging data centralized in our SQL data warehouse to make data-driven decisions and report on progress of work, managing tasks through Azure Dev Ops, and driving towards outcomes which support the Providence Mission. In this role, you will act as both a Program and Project manager where you design a portfolio of work and organizational priorities alongside service owners and IT executives, and execute a number of projects in parallel. If you live outside the Puget Sound area, light travel may be required to our corporate office annually.
