Providence Health & Services Senior IS Program Manager in Redmond, Washington

Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior IS Program Manager to one of our locations in Redmond, WA, Seattle, WA, Renton, WA, Irvine, CA, or Portland, OR.

We are seeking a Senior IS Program Manager to join the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team within Enterprise Information Security (EIS) who will have scope and responsibility across one or more business domains like: Identity & Access, Authentication Services, Directory Services, Privileged Access Management, Governance Risk & Compliance and Data Protection. The Senior IS Program Manager is responsible for advising, consulting, and managing a number of complex initiatives under a common objective at PSJH under a single program. Works collaboratively with business/facility operational leadership, intake and governance teams, as well as IS groups required to deploy IAM services and technology. This role will be the point of contact between business/facility executive leadership and the resource managers of all IS teams, and is responsible for engaging executive leadership and communicating progress of the program. Facilitate between executive leadership, resource managers of all IS teams, project management and consulting resources, and will be responsible for engaging executive leadership and communicating the status of the program. Accountable for working with and facilitating processes to accomplish complex program objectives, managing change and resolving issues that span across project teams while incorporating a continuous improvement mindset. It requires a leader to deal with high degrees of ambiguity, ensure strategic alignment, and effectively drive project delivery while collaborating with others.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for advising, consulting, and/or managing a complex program of projects designed to support PSJH to achieve strategic goals and initiatives Typical programs assigned to a Sr Program Manager will span across several of these operational pillars and functional areas and may require collaboration and coordination with other programs.

  • Strategic Functions:

  • Builds and maintain roadmaps and service line backlogs.

  • Builds support to influence decisions in order to ensure work toward common objectives.

  • Proactively informs and influences others in order to maintain the balance required between business needs; project partner strategy and standards; and financial requirements and budgets.

  • Facilitates strategic planning with internal customers for deployment of information technologies and/or major services and products related to new growth and expansion efforts.

  • Management Functions:

  • Manage client expectations for timelines and deliverables throughout the project/program lifecycle.

  • Develop and gain sponsor approval for project delivery dates.

  • Manage portfolio programs with increased complexity, strategic priority and/or visibility, system and/or regional priority.

  • Engages and organizes the assignment of activities of multi-functional teams, as well as the project estimates, task dependencies and schedule.

  • Scope, risk and issue management, including documenting, communicating and facilitating resolutions or mitigation plans.

  • Develops, initiates and manages a communication plan, including regular program status reports.

  • Manages stakeholders and multiple project teams in the context of a single program.

  • Acts as a coach and mentor to others, especially (but not limited to) other project management staff.

  • Facilitates customer needs for multiple departments and their associated lines of business.

  • Operational Functions:

  • Develops root cause analyses and process improvement plans.

  • Maintains all program artifacts.

  • Identifies, delivers and documents organizational, application and human workflows that contribute to policy and procedure updates throughout each project (when applicable).

  • Prepares and delivers presentations to senior leadership, management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience.

  • 7 years Information Services/Information Technology and/or Healthcare Industry experience.

  • 7 years experience in the project / program management field.

  • 1 year relevant PPMO portfolio experience (eg. EMR, Business Applications, M&A, Infrastructure, etc.)

  • Expertise and experience with Project Management methodology based upon project management principles, including experience implementing and facilitating complex decision-making structures among multiple executive stakeholders with varied interests and priorities.

  • Demonstrated experience as a speaker in a professional presentation environment, such as conferences and association meetings.

  • Experience with vendor/contract management and negotiations.

  • Development and execution experience with business development, marketing, communications, financial planning, and benchmarks/metrics in support of improved quality and process design.
