The Director of Enterprise Transformation, reporting to the AVP of Transformation Program Strategy, is responsible for imagining what it will take to continually pursue the PHP vision and facilitate the methodologies and processes to achieve success.
At a specific level, the Director is responsible for:
supporting executive leaders in establishing an adaptive strategic plan and framework to establish the ‘north star’, anchor decision making, and drive results.
supporting corporate-level governance and cross-functional processes and forums for efficiency and effectiveness of transformational activities.
managing the transformation agenda, transformation initiative roadmaps, cross-enterprise teams supporting initiatives, and executing successful delivery of transformational projects through the planning, execution and closure phases.
This position is directly responsible for the following functional departments: Transformation Strategy and Planning, Transformation Business Requirements and Management, Business Analytics, and Business Process Improvement.
The successful candidate is expected to be a visionary leader, who provides thought leadership to the AVP of Transformation Program Strategy, Sr. Leaders, and the members of the Executive Leadership Team throughout the end-to-end transformational process. This position relies on a matrix of executives and function leaders that serve as project sponsors and business owners. Thus, the successful candidate must quickly form strategic relationships with key executives and individual contributors across the organization, bringing the right capabilities togethers to enable alignment, and realize expansion, growth, and value.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Overall Management Responsibilities:

Leads a virtual / hybrid team of Program Managers and transformational resources from impacted functions, including Plan Operations (i.e., Enrollment, Configuration, Claims), Medical Policy and Utilization Management, Healthcare Experience & Advocacy Delivery, and Finance
Collaborates with the executive leadership team and other core leaders to identify interdependencies and ensure workstreams maintain continuous alignment with scope and objectives.
Works with the team to identify and resolve issues and problems affecting their area and provides them with counsel, guidance, and direction as appropriate to foster a culture of empowerment.
Attracts, develops, and retains talent to create high-performing teams.
Establishes positive working relationships with vendors and other business entities throughout Providence Health Plan and Providence St Joseph Health
Identifies key capital needs and develops and manages annual operating budget as appropriate.
Core Functional Competencies
Drives the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale transformation events and organizational change management across the enterprise.
Accountable for successful design, build, testing, and deployment / go-live and associated project timelines, key milestones, and communication of project status to senior leadership.
Oversees and manages program scope across all impacted functions, ensuring transformation events deliver according to the project charter and task order and adheres to stated business objectives / requirements.
Defines the scope of transformational events architectural design / upgrade, considering implications on technical and business process designs.
Defines key outcomes of transformational events and oversees the progression and achievement of these outcomes throughout the process.
Oversees project change requests / documents amendments to scope changes.
Leads a team of Program Managers, Data Analysts, and cross-functional transformation resources.
Directs the timing and prioritization of tasks to transformational event teams.
Provides guidance on resolving issues / roadblocks and constraints / dependencies, with support of functional leadership, to successful re-implementation.
Oversees and provides guidance on implementation timeline, resource plans, and cost plans to ensure that project objectives and business outcomes drive the intended change across the organization.
Manages and provides guidance on project communication plans to ensure impacted teams, internal / external stakeholders, and sponsors are informed of project accomplishments, status, health, risks and issues; and responds to the needs of impacted stakeholders.
Establishes and oversees guardrails and processes to ensure that transformation events processes are performed in a coordinated, structured, tested, and well documented manner to maintain ongoing critical business operations across the organization.
Oversees and anticipates potential program delays, risks, and dependencies and drives accountability with impacted stakeholders.
Ensures impacted stakeholders develop and deliver mitigation plans as needed.
Oversees the tracking and reporting of resource constraints and project costs against budgetary requirements.
Drive adherence to regulatory requirements associated with transformational activity / ongoing project maintenance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in any relevant field; or equivalent experience
Master's degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field; or equivalent experience
Completion of advanced-level educational program in business process improvement, project management, change and transition management, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of work experience in health care, preferably in an integrated health system, health plan, hospital, or public health setting
7+ years of recent health plan/payor leadership experience
7+ years of leadership or management experience consistent with the duties described.
7+ years of demonstrated experience with program planning and execution.
7+ years of experience with organizational development and change and transition management.
Demonstrated visionary and thought leader.

Possesses proven ability to handle end-to-end platform migration / implementation starting from platform assessment to platform selection and deployment.
