Providence is calling a Director of Operations, Express Care, Physician Services to Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Director of Operations, Express Care, Physician Services. Physician Services is the entity within Providence St. Joseph Health that represents and aligns the roughly 7000 employed physicians and advanced practice providers. We have over 50 hospitals and more than 700 medical clinics. We operate an integrated delivery system across 7 states. Our employed providers facilitate 7 million annual visits and process $2 billion in annual professional billings. The Providence Provider Network is growing at a rate of 40,000 new patients each month.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
The Director of Operations for Express Care Services leads the cross-regional integration of program best practices and will be focused on implementation of retail growth strategies across the system.
The Director of Operations for Express Care Services will be responsible, within the limits of the policies of the various governing bodies, for developing, implementing, accomplishing and evaluating retail objectives and coordinating and ensuring their efficient performance.
The Director of Operations for Express Care Services has accountability for the development of implementation work plans, management oversight systems and structures, common performance metrics and reporting tools for retail providers.
The Director of Operations for Express Care Services is responsible for facilitating integration of retail products, clinical program alignment strategies and tactics between regional operating entities (acute care, ambulatory and medical groups).
The Director of Operations for Express Care Services identifies and promotes retail program partnership opportunities internally and externally.
The Director of Operations for Express Care Services performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.
Required qualifications for this position include:
MBA, MHA, MPH or similar degree is required
5 years of progressive leadership experience working with providers and other clinical leaders, finance and operations leaders and executives. A minimum of 10 years in healthcare or related retail field.
Significant experience with clinical specialties including work with hospital committees and in medical group leadership roles
Demonstrated experience as a leader with responsibility for strategy, operations and leadership development within an integrated delivery system or medical group
Actively supports and incorporates the Mission and Core Values into daily activities of employed physicians, programs and services. Treats all others with respect and demonstrates through leadership excellence, justice, and compassion in daily work and relationships with others.
An understanding of how the healthcare delivery system works at a big picture and detailed level, in terms of the relationships among patients, physicians, hospitals, long term care facilities, health plans, community agencies, suppliers and third party payors, as well as an understanding of the impact of the changing and competitive market.
An established record as a strong team player, able to work closely with an established team of professionals. A true “servant leader” who is able to quickly establish rapport and gain respect, setting a high bar for the team to aspire to, establishing systems and processes to accomplish work and holding a team accountable to clear expectations.
Executive presence, and management skills necessary to provide leadership, develop leadership skills in others, achieve desired goals and interact effectively with the Physician Groups, System Leaders and Health Care Operations team members, business and community leaders.
Effective interpersonal, decision-making and written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to deal with stress and ambiguity as part of the evolution of this organization and the industry as a whole.
