Providence is calling a Director, Supply Chain Operations (Multi-Facility) to Providence Health & Services in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Director, Supply Chain Operations (Multi-Facility) to be accountable for the collaborative integration, implementation, and optimization of the One SCM Operations and Logistics strategy at the local ministry level in close coordination with the Director, Region Supply Chain Operations. This position is responsible for Supply Chain departmental logistics operations for the assigned ministries, including implementing standardized system-developed supply chain strategic plans and polices, overseeing all local supply chain operations and logistics functions (Distribution/Receiving/Materials Operations/Warehousing/Pars/Inventory), directing supply chain operations staff, managing local vendor relationships and serving as the Supply Chain champion and liaison to local ministry executive staff, department directors/managers, other clinicians and physicians.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Lead a local ministry level SCM Operations structure that is consistent and in alignment with the One SCM Operations and Logistics vision and overall strategy which includes standardized facility-based receiving, storage, inventory management/control, point of use/low unit of measure, and distribution operations in all acute and critical access hospitals and all continuing care ministries with their assigned ministry or ministries.
Serve as the One Supply Chain point of contact and liaison to the local ministry executive team ensuring they are kept informed of System Supply Chain contract and process improvement initiatives; champion and execute supply expense reduction efforts for the ministry/ministries; provide active communication with the local executive teams on new contracts and assists the executive team in bringing forward supply chain related needs and requirements to support their ministries.
Optimize use of Lawson MMIS and other supply chain automation tools that works to eliminate unnecessary work, simplify necessary work, centralize simplified work, and automate centralized work.
Work with the Director, Enterprise Inventory Management Operations to implement system wide inventory strategy and improve supply chain performance through a reduction in obsolete inventory, improvements in inventory turns and improvement in inventory replenishment processes.
Implement contract and efficiency related cost saving initiatives throughout the ministry or ministries in a responsive manner meeting established system wide savings, implementation and compliance goals.
Optimize use of existing facilities and staffing to ensure appropriate product stocking levels and utilization.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business or Logistics/Supply Chain Management or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
8 years of Supply Chain Management experience with 4 years in a healthcare setting, including at least 4 years in a Director/Manager/Supervisory level leadership role.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Formal training in Lean/Six Sigma or similar process improvement programs.
Certification either as a Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) from the American Hospital Association or a Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) from the Society of Logistics Engineers or similar certification.
