Providence Manager, Physical Security PSJH in Renton, Washington
Providence is St. Joseph Health is calling a Manager, Physical Security PSJH to our location in Renton, WA.
Please note: This position will involve travel, covering multiple locations surrounding the Renton location. Occasional travel to Irvine, CA - System Office.
We are seeking a Manager, Physical Security PSJH who will continue to build, enhance, and lead the physical security and threat management program capabilities and compliance across all PSJH ministries, and its affiliates which will enable the business to standardize the approach in assessing risks, threats and vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure, for both compliance, regulatory, and general security purposes to safeguard our patients, visitors, caregivers, assets and brand.
This position fills a key role within PSJH's enterprise security program and is responsible for providing leadership for the assigned domain for all of the Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH) ministries and affiliated entities.
The Manager is responsible and accountable for leading the strategy and program with the functional team's input into the development, implementation/delivery, metrics, and tracking of the system-wide security program. The incumbent provides as-needed supervision and guidance for their team and performs all duties in a manner that promotes PSJH mission and values. In all aspects, he/she serves as a role model for the values and mission of the organization and promulgates adherence to PSJH policies and standards.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Identify, develop, and implement needed enterprise-wide physical security programs and threat management programs and projects that include budget, resource plans, work-plans, schedules and supporting training and documentation.
Define, plan and execute administrative and technical structures, initiatives, methodologies, and tasks that enable the effective and efficient delivery of functional team's scope of services.
Ensure the development and management of security Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the Physical Security Program.
Contribute to the development and proper management of the budget.
Lead and contribute to governance committees, workgroups, taskforces, and other forums.
Drive continuous improvement.
Organize multiple projects, schedules, and demands to meet shifting priorities.
Inform of the program through, communications, committees, metrics and reporting.
Drive/coordinate departmental organizational and operational transformation initiatives.
Manage and oversee teams to drive ongoing process improvement and optimization of transformational initiatives.
Manage initiatives that support the creation and implementation of operational support models, availability models, system portfolios, service delivery playbooks, service dashboards (key performance indicators, key risk indicators) and system inventory financial portfolios.
Manage and oversee teams to drive ongoing process improvement and optimization of the Physical Security program and practices.
Manage, coach, mentor, and develop a functional team of Physical Security Analysts, including identification of training needs and recommending development programs.
Recruit, lead, train and inspire a diverse group of individuals.
Translate strategic directions and guidance into tactical plans, processes, and tools to achieve the strategic outcomes.
Manags and oversee the creation, documentation, implementation and execution of procedures and processes that ensure physical security control effectiveness.
Prioritize work, delegate tasks and effectively addresses difficult situations.
Manage expectations and effective communication to colleagues, project team members, sponsors, stakeholders, business leaders, as well as internal and external security stakeholders and leaders.
Plan, manage, and oversee strategy and delivery related to Physical Security risk analysis; policy, standards and regulatory requirements; training and awareness; investigation and proposal of methodologies and technologies that could enhance PSJH's physical security and threat management posture; and sees to procedural documentation creation and maintenance.
Anticipate and take personal responsibility for customer satisfaction across a diverse group of customers at many management levels.

Govern the Business Continuity Program through policies, standards, processes and procedures.
Lead and guide the functional team to perform business impact analysis and risk assessments, and to proactively provide input into the development of continuity strategies.
Develop, coordinate, and conduct exercises including plan walk-throughs and table-top to live exercises. Drive continuous improvement through exercise results.
Inform business continuity stakeholders of the program through, communications, committees, metrics and reporting.
Develop and deliver training on business continuity and recovery.
Ensure the development and maintenance of necessary internal and customer-facing documentation related to business continuity and mass communication.
Develop metrics and track against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Be the Continuity Incident Coordinator during incidents.
Proactively research and stay abreast of new and emerging business continuity and security regulations, industry requirements, best practices and frameworks in order to communicate and incorporate such changes, as appropriate, into the PSJH business continuity program.
Provide management, oversight and communication across and up the organizational in matters pertaining to the physical security program.
Manage and oversee strategy, planning and delivery. Drive/coordinate resources assigned to physical security and threat management initiatives in support of Information Services (IS) and other departmental transformation initiatives.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, Homeland Security, Administration of Justice, Criminal Justice, or related field or equivalent educ/experience
One of the following Certifications in Physical Security required:
Certified Protection Professional (CPP)
Physical Security Professional (PSP)
4 years staff supervision or team lead (directing work of others) experience
6 years Physical Security experience
A strong communicator with a proven track record of establishing themselves as a trusted advisor with customers, peers, staff, and leadership
Experience selecting, deploying and using physical access management tools and mass notification services such as Everbridge
Demonstrated record of successfully overseeing successful delivery of quality work and attainment of goals and objectives
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master’s Degree in Security Management, Homeland Security, Administration of Justice, Criminal Justice, or related field or equivalent educ/experience
