Providence Senior Clinical Initiative Specialist in Renton, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Clinical Initiative Specialist to our location in Renton, WA.
We are seeking a Senior Clinical Initiative Specialist to be responsible for the coordination and development of clinical initiatives to address care gaps in the ambulatory settings across Providence St. Joseph Health under the guidance and direction of the system Ambulatory Quality Council.
This position will assist the Director, Clinical and Quality Governance in the oversight and coordination of the Clinical and Quality Governance portfolio, to identify system wide care gaps, facilitate the development of draft deliverables for front line ambulatory caregivers using the quadruple aim framework (better outcomes, lower costs, improved provider experience, and improved patient experience), prepare drafted deliverables for governance, and coordinate communication plans. This position will also take a major role in coordinating and facilitating subject matter experts discussions for consensus of deliverables.
The position will leverage enterprise wide partnerships to develop high quality clinical guidance/protocols, care pathways, clinical operation workflows, EMR and technology builds, and education/training to support patient and primary care team in achieving system clinical goals and initiatives. This position will closely collaborate with internal team members and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals and monitor impact of interventions provided.
This position will be also be accountable to be a subject matter expert of the initiatives and will take a significant role in communicating and educating deliverables to facilitate regional adoption.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Demonstrate ability to build strong partnerships with subject matter experts across the system in setting strategy and delivering on large scale ambulatory clinical and quality improvement initiatives.
Ability to comprehend and facilitate clinical discussions with physician, nursing, pharmacy, medical assistant subject matter experts for the development of the clinical initiative deliverables.
In partnership with clinical, regional and system-level leaders, develop initiative-specific implementation plans and manages activities. Sets up and supports multi-disciplinary work teams. Ensures effective communication and support strategies to promote adoption and integration of critical education and workflow needs in the primary care environment.
Participate in the creation of a readiness plan for regional adoption of education and workflows.
Conduct needs assessments to evaluate and address gaps in care; specifically related to education and workflow deficits in the regions.
Coordinate and contribute to the development of education, workflows and clinical EMR specifications for governance advisory councils.
Support the creation and dissemination of internal announcements communicating system-wide updates to include the deployment of a clinical initiative, EMR optimization updates and governance decisions.
Maintain a working knowledge of clinical initiatives within the Clinical Quality & Governance portfolio.
Function as a subject matter expert for the clinical initiative life cycle to include planning, discovery, development of deliverables, governance and final implementation.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Leadership.
5 years clinic coordination, management, and/or supervisor experience.
3 years experience using the Epic Electronic Medical Record.
Project Management Certification upon hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 3 years supported the development of quality clinical guidance/protocols, care pathways, clinical operation workflows, EMR and technology builds, and/or education/training.
