Providence is calling a Senior Manager, IS Client Infrastructure Operations to Providence Health & Services in Portland OR, Beaverton OR, Renton WA or Burbank CA.

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Client Infrastructure Operations to direct the daily activities of an engineering team responsible for the service availability of PSJH Client Support Infrastructure. This includes MDM and end-point management systems, patching systems, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Application Deployment Systems, and Citrix Infrastructure as well as the ongoing maintenance required to sustain, stabilize, and secure the environment, as well as expected service levels for our caregivers. The scope of activities includes maintaining accurate asset inventory data for the systems within the leaders area of responsibility as well as working collaboratively with internal IS teams and external vendors to provide highly available, secure, and reliable infrastructure services.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Partner with peers from Engineering, Architecture & Strategy, Applications, and other PSJH teams to optimize production systems to improve the caregivers' experience with PSJH technology.

  • Maintain currency on information technology in general and accountable disciplines in particular. Continually evaluate the effectiveness of current strategies, technology and standards, recommending enhancements and modifications through established collaboration mechanisms.

  • Attracts, hires, trains, motivates, retains, and develops a team of first-rate professionals to perform the responsibilities of the various functions under their leadership.

  • Working with IS leaders across PSJH, assists in defining service models and reporting mechanisms for accountable disciplines as a part of overall PSJH IS service design. Implements, maintains, and operates departmental Service Level Agreements, Operating Level Agreements, and associated KPIs

  • Monitors the performance of the accountable disciplines and evaluates the performance of technology services on the basis of specific KPIs.

  • Implement and monitors compliance with policies and procedures for compute systems, consistent with overall strategy and standards, throughout PSJH.

  • Management of key vendor relationships

  • Provide estimates, forecasting and work planning assistance

  • Oversee's procurement of software & hardware required to support end-point client infrastructure, and works with the Asset Management Team to ensure accurate end-point client inventory

  • Managing annual financial planning and budgets for the Database & Storage Group

  • Serves as Sponsor and/or Owner, as appropriate, for technology projects and initiatives within areas of accountability

  • Ensures that direct reports are meticulous in executing changes, and maintaining the environment, and other defined areas.

  • In all activities, the incumbent treats all others with respect and demonstrates excellence, justice and compassion in daily work.

  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of all information, including financial/operational, employee/human resource, healthcare/patient data and information.

  • Partners with the entire IS leadership team for disaster recovery architecture, projects, and policies and participates in disaster drills.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Information Services or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • 5 years Information Services technical leadership experience in leading IS infrastructure operations teams.

  • 10 years of hands-on technical management experience in at least one of the following disciplines: Network, Server, Database, Client, Storage, or Security.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master’s degree in Information Services, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, or a related IS or healthcare field.

  • Experience in the operational support of end-point client devices, mobile device management (MDM), Citrix Infrastructure, and Virtual Desktops
