Providence is calling a Bilingual Spanish Licensed Social Worker ( Full Time / Day Shift ) to Providence Saint John's Health Center's Child & Family Development Center in Santa Monica, CA.

Looking for a therapist with a passion for community work and social justice to provide mental health services in a local Santa Monica middle school. Services include group, individual and family therapy. Therapist is co- located at the middle school and works closely with school personnel and city personnel. Must be able to drive to different community sites and provide services at the Center, school, community settings and in the clients home.

In this position you will:

  • Provides Social Work / Psychology Services including: culturally competent psychosocial assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, Evidence-Based Practice psychotherapy with children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families.

  • Services include Case Management, and Outreach at the Center, schools, homes, community.

  • Complies with all California state regulations and those of the Board of Behavioral Science Examiners regarding practice and supervision of unlicensed MSW or MA therapists.

  • Contributes to the training of clinical interns and/or volunteers.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • MA/MS from graduate school for Social Work or Psychology

  • License eligible or registered with the Board of Behavioral Science Examiners in the State of California

  • MA,MSW Internship

  • Demonstrated training and background in working with the target population

  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Able to be flexible and to establish/sustain good team-building skills/relationships

  • Must be able to travel to off-site and satellite locations

  • Handles emergency or crisis situations; Flexibility required

  • Ability to work at least one evening per week.

  • DMH documentation is a plus.

  • School based mental health experience is a plus.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bilingual - Spanish speaking fluency
