Providence Senior Physical Therapist, Neuroscience Physiatry - Santa Monica in Santa Monica, California

A Senior Physical Therapist (PT) at the Pacific Neuroscience Institute will possess a neurologic specialty and/or geriatric specialty, with experience in working with geriatric and neurologic populations, including MCI, AD, PD, MS and balance disorders. A PT at PNI must possess both interest and experience in working with patients with cognitive deficits, primarily geriatric, with a variety of neurologic conditions. The PT will work in an interdisciplinary environment with mental health providers, neurologists, exercise and rehab professionals and other caregivers to design and deliver integrative care plans. The PT will demonstrate proficiency and interest in dual-task and cognitively enhanced exercise and rehab modalities, with interest in performing both clinical services and clinical research.

Provides delivery of high-quality patient care at the direction of physicians in accordance with individual diagnosis, medical group policy and standards of patient care. The primary function is to provide clinical physical therapy evaluation and treatment based on a plan of care, patient education and demonstration of leadership to address the needs of patients and their families, as well as to foster a positive working relationship among professionals and ancillary staff. May be caring for geriatric patients, high-fall risk patients, patients with neurologic conditions, and patients with cognitive disorders, and will have the knowledge and skills to care for the physical and neurologic needs of patients.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accredited Physical Therapy Program or

  • California Physical Therapist License upon hire

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

  • 2 years Clinical experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Accredited Physical Therapy Program or

  • D.P.T. in Accredited Physical Therapy Program
