Providence CNA 2 - Medical Surgical in Seaside, Oregon


CNA 2 - Medical Surgical unit at Providence Seaside Hospital. This is 0.0 FTE, on-call posting that represents 12-hour shifts which start at 7am or 7:30pm and would include some weekends.

Extra Incentives:

  • Evening shift differential – $ 2.25 p/hr

  • Night shift differential – $4.00 p/hr

In this position you will:

  • Contribute to a high functioning team

  • Meaningfully advance post-operative recovery of surgical patients

  • Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers

  • Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights

  • Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests

  • Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices

  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development

  • Other duties as assigned

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA2) is responsible for performing direct patient care services related to activities of daily living and for auxiliary support as related to nursing unit functioning. An employee responsible for patient care must be competent in the assessment, treatment, and age-related care.

Required qualifications :

  • Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course. Or CNA 2 coursework: Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.

  • CNA 2 coursework: Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.

  • Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License

  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience as a CNA 2.
