Providence is calling a Credentialed Medical Assistant to Providence Medical Group North Coast Clinic in Seaside, OR.
Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Coast Mountain Range, Providence Seaside Hospital is the heart of the Providence Health System's North Coast Service area. This 25-bed, critical access hospital (with full accreditation by the Joint Commission) serves a resort community and the surrounding area.
Blessed with mild weather and miles of wide, beautiful beaches, Seaside is one of the most popular destinations on the Oregon coast. In the summer, the population can swell from it's normal 5,600 to over 40,000 people. From hiking mountain trails to beach combing to whale watching, Seaside has plenty to do. Providence Seaside Hospital has met the challenge with a state-of-the-art emergency department, 24 hour-a-day in-house physician coverage and extensive remodeling to meet the needs of the community and visitors.
This role will will be a float position that supports the Walk-In, Specialty and Primary Care, where you will support patients with a variety of conditions/ailments. We are seeking candidates who are open to working rotational schedules and available to work occasional weekends.
In this position, you will:
Work closely with a team of staff including physicians and advanced level providers to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.
Assist with exams and procedures, administer medications, and perform tests under the supervision of a licensed medical provider.
CMA, Certified Medical Assistant, C.M.A.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Credentialing through a nationally recognized Medical Assistant program such as Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or National Association for Healthcare Professionals (NAHP)
If not currently credentialed, this position will require successfully obtaining Medical Assistant Certification within 60 days from date of hire
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for the Healthcare Provider
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
6 months of recent experience working as a medical assistant
