Providence Health & Services Hospital Access Monitor (Seaside) in Seaside, Oregon
Providence is calling a Hospital Access Monitor (1.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to work at one of our hospitals located within the Seaside area. This is a temporary position (approximately 6 months).
We are seeking a Hospital Access Monitor who will provide screening of patients, visitors and caregivers at the different entrances while limited access guidelines are in place. Door monitors are scheduled throughout the ministries based on location and need.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Greet visitors and caregivers, utilizing the appropriate questions to determine if they are able to enter the hospital.
Use an infrared thermometer (or oral thermometer as backup) to determine entrance criteria.
If patient seeking treatment and has fever, mask immediately and call appropriate unit or department for escort.
Coordinate with units to collect patient items that may have been dropped off by family or friends.
Understand that at no time can anyone be turned away for seeking treatment.
Follow visitor and vendor guidelines as applicable for limited access policies.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- HS Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 6 months excellent customer service experience
