Providence Health & Services Clinical Nurse Educator -Nursing Administration in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Clinical Nurse Educator (Nursing Administration, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE, 40 hrs/wk) to Providence Mount St. Vincent in West Seattle, Washington . In this position you will:
Take the lead in developing and delivering clinical nurse education, and works collaboratively with nursing leadership to identify nursing education needs.
Implement, evaluate, and continually improve effectiveness of the nurse residency program.
Work as a member of the education team to meet education needs of all staff, including regular participation in general orientation and annual training for all staff.
Work with local nursing schools and nurses managers to set up clinical rotations.
Support infection control officer in implementation of the infection prevention and control program.
Assist in direct care if urgent need arises and may on occasion be asked to assist in on-call rotation.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing
Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Washington
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
5 years experience as a Registered Nurse
Proficient with technology, teaching aids, and resources needed for effective teaching
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master’s degree in nursing or a related field
Basic Life Support Instructor Certification
First Aid Instructor Certification
Valid Food Handler’s permit must be obtained within 90 days of hire date
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) nursing experience
Teaching experience in skilled nursing and assisted living
Experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Clinical Nurse Leader a plus
