Providence LPN - Pace MLK in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Pace MLK, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence ElderPlace in Seattle, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
Manages all medication orders and delivery coordinating with physician, RN, transportation and home care. Participates in direct nursing care in a manner, which assures participants satisfaction and retention.
Offering $5,000 Sign on bonus for external hires! Schedule is Monday - Friday from 8am to 4:30pm! This position will support the Adult Day Health Program at one of our clinic sites in Seattle off of Martin Luther King Jr. Way.
In this position you will:
Assist nursing staff in planning and compliance with medication regime for each participant
Participates in the admission, transfer, and discharge processes. Administer care based on the nursing process and the interdisciplinary care plan
Set up daily medications as prescribed and administers all medications as indicated and documents on the Medication Administration Record form on a timely basis
Receives and reviews all medication orders, maintains an up to date MAR, notifies pharmacy and coordinates distribution of all medications
Meets all administrative requirements including maintaining legal clinical records, charting, and attending multidisciplinary team care conferences and staff meetings
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program
Current Washington State License as a Practical Nurse
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Long Term care or related geriatric experience working with the frail and elderly
