Providence is calling a Program Manager, Value Based Care and Population Health Portfolios to Providence Health & Services in Seattle, WA.
We are seeking a Program Manager, Value Based Care and Population Health Portfolios to be accountable for strategic, diverse and complex projects within the Accountable Care and Population Health Organization. The role provides organizational support to the ACO’s senior leadership team and serves as a catalyst in keeping ACO initiatives performing on target and on time. The Manager will project manage strategic initiatives, support development of business plans, develop meeting content, and conduct research regarding industry best practice. The role requires in-depth knowledge and understanding of healthcare topics and issues. Requires the agility to be responsive to a rapidly, changing environment. The position is Seattle based and may require up to 20% travel.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Project Development – Work with project sponsors and project leads to assure strategic Value Based Care (VBC) projects and initiatives are on track and deliverables are defined and met. Manages a variety of projects to ensure critical due dates are identified, expectations are reasonable, plans are adjusted to reflect current developments and agreed-upon due dates are met.
Strategic Support – Works with senior Value Based and Population Health leadership team in the design, planning and implementation of specials projects, analyses and studies that address current/future business needs and requirements. Coordinate strategic meetings and events inviting key stakeholders, confirming agenda topics and presentations, development of materials and presentation, handling meeting logistics and insuring presenters are prepared prior to arrival for efficient and value add meeting discussions.
Building Relationships – Effective and exemplary communication skills, both written and oral, are necessary for effective leadership in this role. Ability to collaborate across regional and system entities on core Value Based Contracts and Population Health business is essential. Possess cognitive insight to understand the customer perspective and ask clarifying question to further facilitate discussions between the Value Based and Population Health team and customer. Possess the ability to present complex information and recommendations in a clear and concise manner and organizing information to facilitate effective decision-making.
Collaboration & Facilitation – Ability to collaborate with internal Value Based Care and Population Health staff and receive regular status reports is required of this role. Willingness to step in and assist project managers and product line leaders with special initiatives, data gathering, identifying trends and best practices in addition to developing knowledge and content for the success of ACO initiatives.
Innovation – Propensity to think outside the box and beyond boundaries to assist in the development of Value Based Population Health products and the ability to be a forward thinker is highly regarded for this role.
Ambiguity – Ability to work within a matrix organization, a rapidly changing environment and visionaries with varied opinions. Demonstrate the ability to rally resources to support Value Based Care and Population Health initiatives to assuring successful measurable outcomes.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- 3 years’ demonstrated work experience in business development, project management, healthcare consulting.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree - in public health, healthcare administration, accounting or finance or related field of study.
Healthcare operations and finance acumen helpful.
Project management knowledge in healthcare.
