Food Service Workers

Shifts: Full time (Evenings) PRN (Evenings, Variable)

Providence is calling Food Service Workers to join our team!

This position is responsible for providing seamless customer service in the area of meals/floor stock/nourishment/food preferences. Handles food according to HACCP guidelines and is aware of minimum standards for a quality food service operation. Adheres to standard recipes and plating guidelines. Responsible for accuracy of all assembled meal orders, maintaining par stocks, ordering supplies and rotating product for maximum quality. Interacts with other employees in a friendly and courteous manner. Acts as an effective customer service liaison to all customers and facility departments.

Required qualifications:

  • 6 months Experience working in a dining services environment

  • National Food Handler Card - State County City Authority

Child Care Teacher

Shift: PRN (Day)

Providence is calling for a Child Care Teacher to join our team!

This position is responsible for the overall care of children in the Intergenerational Learning Center. This includes the planning and implementation of age appropriate programs, development of interesting, stimulating and challenging indoor and outdoor environments, and planning appropriate daily activities. This role is also responsible for developing an intergenerational program and nurturing interaction between elders and children. Included in these responsibilities are maintaining the classroom, preparing materials for the children and certain clerical and record-keeping duties. The position may work with Associate Teachers, providing mentoring and leadership.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 2 years Experience working with children ages birth to 5 years

  • 30 days of hire:

  • Must create a MERIT Account and Apply for STARS ID at

  • Apply for and complete a Portable Background Check through the DCYF (Department of Children, Youth and Family) MERIT system

  • Within 30 days of hire, must have a STARs Basic Child Care Center Certificate or equivalent as determined by program manager completed.

  • Apply for a Portable Background Check through the WA State DCYF MERIT system prior to first day of work

Development Coordinator

Shift: Full Time (Day) 

Providence is calling for a Development Coordinator to join our team!

This position is responsible for providing administrative assistance to the Foundation and the Foundation Director in the management and coordination of all fundraising, marketing, community relations, communications and volunteer management activities. Position serves as primary point of contact for Foundation Donors. Also provides administrative assistance in the management of financial and operational activities of the department.

Required qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3 years experience in a comparable institutional setting

  • Experience in using Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel

  • Current driver's license

Environmental Services Technician

Shift: Full time (Variable)

This position is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of all resident rooms and common areas, except the kitchen.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 6 months Housekeeping or janitorial experience

Administrative Assistant

Shift: Part time (Evening)

Providence is calling Administrative Assistants to join our team!

This position provides a wide range of highly complex and moderate to high volume administrative tasks in support of the St. Joseph Residence (SJR) Superior/Administrator and the SJR Administrator for Operations. Responsibilities include the organization, prioritization and coordination of a moderate to high volume of work including confidential information. Specific duties include exceptional customer service to customers and visitors; creating, typing, editing, and proofreading various department documents; creating and maintaining filing systems; scheduling meetings and arranging travel; entering, extracting, and analyzing data into reports and presentations; manage workload required to complete organization projects. Transportation of residents.

Required qualifications:

  • 3 years experience as an administrative assistant supporting management in a large organization
