THE ROLE

Swedish is seeking a CHRO of our Community Hospitals (HR Director) to lead an HR team in the development and alignment of HR strategies consistent with business needs for our Ballard, Edmonds and Issaquah campuses. The Swedish CHRO of Community Hospitals is accountable for development and alignment of HR strategies consistent with business needs. As the strategic talent partner for your local executive teams, this leader will implement workforce development initiatives that attract and retain. Accountable for setting and ensuring high qualities and standards for HR service delivery. Provides solutions to complex or critical issues. Determines HR implications of changing business needs and recommends actions to be taken. Leads consulting efforts to achieve outcomes. Fosters an environment of continuous improvement by motivating, mentoring, and developing others. Demonstrate the capacity to strategically shape change, promote fiscal responsibility and integration of the core values while meeting the organization's strategies and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Swedish CHRO of Community Hospitals will:

  • Act as a strategic talent partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders of Swedish in support of the organization and its mission.

  • Work collaboratively with shared services and centers of excellences to ensure a seamless, integrated HR experience for core leaders and caregivers.

  • Develop and administer all labor relations activities and local strategies for assigned area. Coordinate/strategize with Labor & Employment Counsel on local issues and response.

  • Provide leadership, direction, coaching and development for direct reports.

  • Influence and lead organizational change.

  • Develop and implement caregiver (employee) experience strategies and tactics in alignment with System, Region and Campus goals.

  • Develop and administer all labor relations activities and local strategies for assigned area. Coordinate/strategize with Labor & Employment Counsel on local issues and response.

  • Coach and counsel senior leaders on business, labor, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Master’s Degree in Business administration, Health administration, HR management, or related field.

  • 7 years’ experience in Professional human resources or related experience and 4 year of leadership experience.

  • Experience in brokering services in a multi-site/location, multi-line of business.

  • Previous supervisory experience.

  • Ability to analyze information, evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills.

  • Excellent collaboration and team building skills.

  • Demonstrated excellent judgment and decision making skills.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or other HRCI credential is preferred.
