Providence Associate Art Therapist in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling an Associate Art Therapist ( Family Support Services , Days, 0.5 FTE) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Conduct group and individual art therapy, under clinical supervision
Select or create art therapy experiences that meet the client’s objectives, under clinical supervision
Observe and record accurately the client’s responses to assessment, under clinical supervision
Communicate assessment findings and recommendations in written and verbal form
Modify treatment approaches based on the client’s response to therapy, under clinical supervision
Coordinate care plan with the multidisciplinary team. Recognize patients with problems outside scope of practice and recommends appropriate intervention and referral
Produce documentation that accurately reflects client outcomes and meets the requirements of internal and external legal, regulatory and reimbursement bodies
Protect the clients' art work as an integral component of therapeutic work while meeting all HIPPA requirement
Manage and maintain art therapy equipment and supplies, under clinical supervision
Develop and maintain professional Art Therapy shared resources, under clinical supervision
Perform all administrative duties required of clinicians, Under clinical supervision
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Art Therapy;
Art therapy program must be approved by The American Art Therapy Association (AATA) and accredited by the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB)
Associate Mental Heath Counselor licensure in the state of WA required.
Provisional Art Therapist Registered (ATR-Provisional) required within 3 years of hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
One (1) year work related experience, preferably in a medical environment. Must be able to demonstrate effective understanding of clinical art therapy and mental health principles, practices and methodologies.
Board Certification (ATR-BC) from the Art Therapy Credentials Board in alignment with the American Art Therapy Association.
