Providence Dietitian in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Dietitian ( Pace Spokane , Days, 0.2 FTE) to Providence Elderplace in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Assess the nutritional status and provides nutrition intervention to participants and their families/caregivers, including diet education. One on one contact with participants and caregivers to adequately assess nutritional needs.
Screen participants for nutritional risk and malnutrition.
Develop and present dietary plans of care as part of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).
Provide nutrition consults/assessments as requested by other IDT members.
Coordinate nutritional care with caregivers in multiple community settings, including home care workers, adult family homes, nursing homes and dialysis centers as needed. Provide education to participants and caregivers in diet recommendations, food textures and use of supplements.
Participate in IDT meetings.
Maintain nutrition summary for all participants. Notify appropriate staff and team members, including food service worker, of changes in diet and texture.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or dietetics
Current licensure as a Registered Dietitian in the state of Washington.
Driver's license valid in Washington state required upon hire.
Current auto insurance coverage required upon hire.
1 year experience as Clinical dietitian working with a geriatric population
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master’s Degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics
