Nurse Educator - Pediatrics and Pediatric ICU at Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital
The Nurse Educator works under the general direction of the Professional Development Director, as an Educator, Clinical Resource and Consultant. The Nurse Educator assists in the development of educational programs and materials. The Nurse Educator serves as a role model, mentor, learning facilitator, change agent and partner for practice transitions. This position develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates orientation, in-service and continuing education for nurses in assigned specialty area and participates in inter-professional education throughout Providence Health Care. The Nurse Educator participates in applicable performance improvement and research activities and serves on appropriate committees and task forces.
Shift Details: Average 32 hours per week, Day shift
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Nursing (BSN)
Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
3 years RN experience in clinical area
Preferred qualifications:
Master's Degree Nursing, Education or Allied Health field.
2 years of experience in staff development or academic teaching.
upon hire: Certification in specialty area or nursing professional development and education.
upon hire: Current American Heart Association instructor credentials (BLS, ACLS, or PALS) or certifications related to life support and specialty as appropriate (NRP, TNCC, etc.)
