Providence Security Support Specialist in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Security Support Specialist ( Security, Variables, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Receive non-emergent service calls from caregivers, patients and visitors related to parking, access control, badging and other general information requests.
Screen visitors in-person or via intercom and camera to determine appropriateness of access to PHC facilities according to PHC visitation policy. .
Monitor entry points, camera systems, alarms and intrusion systems, and coordinate the response to any interruptions with the security operations center, security personnel, law enforcement, and other departments as required.
Educate and communicate policies to help drive compliance.
Generating work order and maintenance requests for parking and security related issues, including contacting other departments or agencies for follow-up.
Identify and communicate critical incidents or events according to established notification procedures as appropriate and complete accurate reports and logs a needed.
Assist in coordination of service requests for after hour call transfers, access, additional security officer deployment or re-posting as requested.
Create and print photo identification access badges for physicians, caregivers, contractors, vendors, students, and volunteers within the Spokane Service Area.
Manage access control within electronic access control systems including adhering to approved programming standards.
Create and print photo identification access badges for physicians, caregiver, contractors, vendors, students, and volunteers within the Spokane Service Area.
Respond tactfully to complaints and resolve access issues. Deescalate verbally challenging situations as necessary.
Provide day-to-day administrative support for Security Services including: answering phones, greeting visitors, ordering/distributing office and photo ID supplies, driving record checks, setting up and maintaining filing systems and records and preparing outgoing mail.
Attend all mandatory in-service training programs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED
1 year of experience in customer service, administrative, communications, or security related work.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
3 years prior experience in healthcare or public relations setting.
