Providence Health & Services Supervisor Environmental Services *1.0 FTE, Evening Shift* in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Supervisor Environmental Services (Environmental Services, Evening Shift, 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week) to Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Customer Service: Maintains and promotes positive, open and honest interpersonal relationships with customers (physicians, employees, visitors, patients, and other PSHMC publics). Provides high quality service to all customers; focuses on understanding customers’ needs and follows through. Demonstrates respect for the capabilities, different cultures and or personalities of co-workers and Medical Center publics within the mission/values of PHFH.
Communication: Promotes and demonstrates effective, open and honest written and verbal communication skills.
Self Management: Demonstrates self-management behaviors which reflect a positive image of PHFH, following established policies and procedures and promote an efficient, cost effective work environment.
Ownership/Stewardship and Accountability: Demonstrates good stewardship of resources by treating property of customers, Providence Holy Family Hospital and co-workers with care and respect.
Teamwork: Works cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of staff and other disciplines for problem solving without blaming.
Flexibility: Demonstrates flexibility by readily adapting to different situations to complete work.
Records employee name, pay period and other pertinent information on payroll sheets and files in sign-in book by the end of the workday every other Friday.
Prepares stockroom requisition and submits to Purchasing by noon each day. Stores supplies immediately upon receipt.
Provides employees with cleaning materials required. Checks carts to insure all supplies are on the cart prior to leaving the storeroom.
Assigns personnel to specified areas. Ensures coverage of all areas with personnel available.
Makes Daily Inspection of Areas. All areas visited during the day. Written inspection reports on deficiencies.
Maintains Quality Control Program. Ensures Public Relations and Patient Visitation rounds as assigned by Director are completed. Performs or ensures that Quality Improvement Inspections are completed.
Assists the Director in Employee Training Programs. Identifies personnel in need of additional training, the type of training and provides a list to the Director.
Observes and counsels with employees daily to identify potential problems/misunderstandings.
Prepares Job Evaluations on EVS employees. Finalizes evaluations on employees and submits to the Director within 30 days from close-out date on period of evaluation.
Required qualifications for this position include:
