Candidate must reside near Lubbock Texas or in Northern California to support regional work and associated travel within region. There are times where projects are assigned outside the home base region that will require travel to other states to support project requirements
Providence is seeking an IS Project Manager:
The Project Manager is accountable for multiple, diverse and complex projects in the areas of information services projects, quality improvement; and strategic objectives/goals. Manages all aspects of projects with direct accountability to the Executive Sponsor.
Ensures projects are planned and executed in a manner that supports the Information Systems department and Providence Health Plan objectives.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Manage expectations from initial problem identification and through the project life-cycle.
Develop and gain sponsor approval and sign-off of the project charter and work breakdown schedule.
Develops and leads the project team to the delivery of successful project outcomes.
Builds and manages multiple, multi-functional collaborative project and/or work teams.
Provides expert support to the Information Systems department in prioritizing deliverables and objectives rapidly in an ever-changing environment.
Coordinates the activities of multi-functional teams, as well as the project budget, task dependencies, and schedule.
Scope, risk and issue management, including documenting, communicating and facilitating resolutions or mitigation plans.
Develops root cause analyses and process improvement plans.
Develops, initiates, and manages a communication plan, including regular project status reports.
Maintains all project artifacts.
Identifies, delivers and documents organizational, application and human workflows that contribute to policy and procedure updates throughout each project.
Delivers appropriate integration, training, and implementation plans and activities.
Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution.
Develops projects in alignment with the organization's strategic plans and objectives.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong team player, self-starter and detail-oriented.
Manages stakeholders and multiple project teams in the context of a single project.
Builds support to influence decisions in order to ensure work toward common objectives.
Prepares and deliver presentations to senior leadership, management and stakeholders.
Acts as a coach and mentor.
May be required to supervise or manage Project Coordinators.
Job Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proven hands-on project management skills.
Strong facilitation, planning and management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience managing projects with multiple project teams, product development life-cycle, or quality life-cycle.
Experience with PM methodologies and software.
Experience making formal and informal presentations to senior and executive management and key stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience developing and modifying process standards and objectives to a project as appropriate.
Strong financial management skills in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Must have strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities and excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Highly self-motivated and self-directed. Keen attention to detail. Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional customer service orientation.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree -or- 10 years relevant experience
3 years of experience with project or program management.
2 years working in the field of Information Services
Preferred qualification:
- 3 years of Working in the healthcare industry
