Clinical Social Worker (LCSW - LCMH Patient Family Services at Providence Little Company Of Mary Torrance Hospital
Provides clinical social work services on the Bridges inpatient program in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of LCM-SPH and the NASW. The Social Worker is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, and discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention, and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital. Represent Bridges at Court hearings for patient competency. Patients to include: Young, middle and older adults at LCM-SPH Bridges. Designated as a Behavioral Health Clinician to perform 5150 evaluations. Licensed Clinical Social workers must follow Dept of Mental Health guidelines.
Required qualifications for this position includes:
Master's Degree in Social Work
LCSW licensure by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and registration with BBS
Designated as Behavioral Health Clinician to perform 5150 evaluations within 18 months of hire
All LCSWs must follow the guideline by Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health for LPS designation and keep their designation in current status
CPI certification (nonviolent crisis intervention training) within one (1) year of hire
Two (2) years of Healthcare related setting with psychiatric mental health patient population in area of service, preferably in an inpatient setting
