Providence Volunteer Services Coordinator in Tukwila, Washington
Providence is calling a Volunteer Services Coordinator (Auxiliary Groups Seattle, Days, 1.0 FTE) to SCS Hospice in Tukwila, Washington. In this position you will:
Track requests for volunteers, assigns volunteers to patients/clients, and track volunteer assignments.
Perform pre-training and post-training interviews for new volunteers and enters personnel data into database.
Supervise Volunteers by providing support, information, education, and feedback by phone, via e-mail, and in person as necessary; document and track volunteer communication and changes in status.
Ensure that volunteers have forms and other tools necessary to perform volunteer duties. Create and update Volunteer forms and provide Volunteers with documentation forms and other needed forms/materials as needed.
Attend weekly interdisciplinary team meetings to get information and provide updates regarding volunteer assignments; communicate with hospice clinicians/staff by phone, via e-mail, and in person about volunteer assignments and volunteer issues.
Review and track volunteer documentation, including monthly reports and timesheets. Correct or amend documentation as necessary and follow up on documentation issues with volunteers; enter volunteer hours into databases.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate's Degree in field related to health care or social services preferred
2 years experience working with health care or social service organization
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in field related to health care or social services preferred
Significant volunteer experience with a leadership role will be considered
Experience coordinating volunteer program
