Providence Health & Services RN Clinical Program Manager in Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling an RN Clinical Program Manager based out of our locations in either CA/AK/WA/OR/MT. This role is remote and can sit in the footprint of Providence however: Please note: This position requires travel across multiple states within the Providence Health System. Travel will be periodic as needed up to 10-20% to support projects.
We are seeking an RN Clinical Program Manager who will be responsible for collaboration, development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of programs / systems that enhance professional practice outcomes within the healthcare medical team. Shares accountability for oversight of education, clinical practice and safety protocols in conjunction with implementation of new standards of care. Role models proactive, values driven working relationships across the organization in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Assures practice is in accordance with CMS and Department of Health standards, State and Federal regulatory criteria and professional practice / scope of practice. Develops effective relationships to lead, role model, collaborate and effectuate change. Participates and guides in the selection and hiring of key clinical positions within the division.
In this positions you will have the following responsibilities:
Takes direction from Clinical Operations and collaborates with operations for all clinical processes, competencies, safety, infection prevention, and clinical care initiatives to provide consistent practices and standards of care at assigned ministry.
Continually assesses compliance and makes recommendations regarding current policies, procedures, standards of care, education and safety practices so that they are consistent across the organization. (Promotes excellence in patient care / safety consistent with knowledge of NCQA, OSHA and governing regulatory agencies identified by practice standards, skill validation and proficiency of the staff.).
Facilitates / leads clinical competency program, work safety, patient safety, scope of practice compliance and initiates educational opportunities and staff development.
Communicates and interacts effectively with supervisors, managers, directors and administration to assess and develop action plans to enhance clinical processes. Attends various meetings as appropriate and contributes ideas for improving efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction. Actively participates on committees.
Works collaboratively to enhance medical practice initiatives working to collect data, initiate methods for improvement and education for process changes involving clinical staff and providers.
Provides regular communication, providing staff with standards of performance, informing them of job expectations and evaluating their performance. Fosters environment of continuous improvement. Provides direction, setting clear expectations, coaching and motivating direct reports in daily administration of their duties.
Participates / guides in recruitment, selection, training, discipline, discharge and development of clinical staff as needed. Utilizes human resource tools for coaching process.
Develops goals and objectives for clinical departments and collaborates with onsite leadership to ensure goal appropriateness.
Seeks to understand and facilitate effective communication.
Conducts regularly scheduled meetings for distribution of information, training and collaboration.
Takes initiative to identify problems within the department, analyze and recommend / implement appropriate action.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent education/experience
Registered Nurse upon hire.Must hold and maintain an active RN license
3 years expereince as a Registered Nurse in the ambulatory care setting.
Preferred qualificaitons for this position include:
Master's Degree in Nursing.
National certification from ANA or Professional Organziation in relevant field of clinical expertise.
