Providence Sr. Product Development Mgr. : ASO / Self Funded Insurance (Remote) in Washington

Providence is calling a Senior Manager Product Development: Administrative Services Only / Self-funded Insurance who will:

  • Be accountable for managing the development and full life cycle management of products, programs and services across the line of business

  • Lead market research, competitive analysis, strategic product positioning and product prioritization efforts

  • Be charged with guiding cross functional teams and process to lead to innovative products that will differentiate Providence from the competition and drive growth

  • Seek to define the most effective path to market which may include development and management of strategic partnerships

  • Lead cross functional teams to drive product development decisions, initiatives and implementation that span multiple lines of business

  • Maintain expert knowledge of the local and national health insurance market, products, micro and macro trends and direction

  • Manage applicable external councils to inform product and services feedback

  • Manage the product development process - including market research, competitive analysis, product requirements, and financial analysis

  • Establish and monitor success measures and expectations of governing councils

  • Provide input into the annual member enrollment forecasting

  • Create and develop product launch plans

  • Provide leadership and consultation in analyzing product positioning in collaboration with Providence marketing and communications to assure promotional campaigns and advertising are targeted for success

  • Provide leadership and consultation in analyzing sales channels and activities in collaboration with sales management

We welcome 100% remote work for residents of Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Montana, California and Nevada.

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or another related field of study

  • 7+ years experience in product development, taking a product idea through feasibility, implementation and life cycle phases

  • Market research and product marketing experience

  • Experience leading teams of professional level staff

  • Project management training

  • Project management experience

  • Proven oral presentation experience

  • Experience with market analysis tools, PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or another related field of study

  • Self-funded health insurance experience

  • Experience with pharmacy benefits managers (PBM)

  • Experience with clinical support programs

  • Experience with benefit cost management strategies

  • Experience with employer stop-loss coverage
